NATE Unite 2022 Recap – An Industry in Transition

NATE Unite 2022 just wrapped up last week in Las Vegas. Held at Caesar’s this year, NATE Unite is widely regarded as the premier conference and trade show for the diverse wireless, broadcast and communications infrastructure industries. This year’s NATE Unite didn’t disappoint, offering an impressive array of educational sessions, safety seminars, networking receptions, luncheons, and the world premiere of “Vertical Freedom”, a feature-length documentary highlighting the personal and professional lives of six US infrastructure workers. We don’t often get to participate in Hollywood-like red carpet events, so this was truly a special occasion!

NATE Unite’s exhibit hall floor was busy this year despite the pandemic, with activity from members representing every layer of our industry. We saw a high level of interest and engagement from NATE members seeking advice on how to integrate drone inspections into their cell tower inspection workflows. In this highly competitive industry, it is increasingly important for turf vendors to distinguish their service offering to Tier 1 telecom companies, and these customers are increasingly adopting digital twins into their standard work as a means of capturing, documenting, monitoring and sharing equipment status both internally and with outside vendors.
