Optelos’ Adam Watts Appointed to NATE UAS Committee
NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association has appointed Adam Watts, Director of Client Programs at Optelos, to serve on the NATE Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Committee. NATE’s UAS Committee and Working Group participants have pledged to be a source of information by providing timely updates to the Association’s members and industry stakeholders as key developments emerge in the landscape surrounding Unmanned Aerial Systems.
Adam, who serves as Optelos’ Director of Client Programs, brings his extensive experience working in military aviation and drone piloting to the committee. Adam served for 16 years in the RAF as a helicopter and drone pilot, then co-founded Desert Drones, a drone imagery company specializing in industrial inspections, where he was Chief Pilot.
NATE is a non-profit trade association dedicated to providing a unified voice for companies in the diverse tower and communications infrastructure construction, service and maintenance industries. Optelos recently became a member of NATE in order to better align with the needs of telecom maintenance service organizations who are increasingly adopting drone technology in order to efficiently identify asset conditions and problems during cell tower and other telecom infrastructure inspections.
