Hyatt Regency New Orleans | Hub Lounge 15

October 15-17, 2024

Optelos will again be exhibiting at the 2024 AFPM Summit at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans from October 15-17, 2024, Hub Lounge 15. The theme of the 2024 AFPM Summit is again Excellence in Plant Performance, delivering an interactive conference that provides attendees with tangible takeaways in emerging technologies, sustainability, safety, reliability, digital transformation, and more. The Summit is the only conference designed by and for the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries focused on improving plant-wide performance. With over 70 sessions, the event will deliver an educational curriculum that shares best practices and lessons designed to help you achieve your plant performance and safety goals.

Optelos offers a transformative solution for the oil and gas industry, enabling remote asset inspections through advanced drone technology, AI analytics, and digital twins. As attendees of the 2024 AFPM Summit in New Orleans seek ways to improve safety, reduce costs, and enhance inspection accuracy, Optelos provides an ideal platform tailored to meet these needs.

In the oil and gas sector, regular inspections of critical assets such as pipelines, refineries, and storage tanks are essential for ensuring operational safety and regulatory compliance. Traditionally, these inspections can be time-consuming, costly, and dangerous due to the hazardous environments involved. Optelos addresses these challenges by enabling remote, automated inspections that significantly enhance efficiency while reducing human risk.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF TURNAROUND PLANNING AND CAPITAL PROJECTS
Optelos’ Hub Lounge at the 2023 AFPM Summit was busy with industry veterans seeking information on how digital twins and drone technology can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their maintenance programs and improve site safety.

Key Features for the Oil and Gas Industry

  1. Digital Twins for Remote Inspections: Optelos creates 3D digital twins of assets, allowing operators to virtually inspect facilities from anywhere. This technology eliminates the need for on-site personnel to conduct repeat inspections and verifications, reducing exposure to hazardous conditions. By enabling detailed visualizations of equipment and infrastructure, operators can proactively identify potential issues, such as corrosion or structural defects, and prioritize repairs without exposing inspectors to physical risks.
  2. AI-Powered Data Analysis: The platform uses AI and computer vision to analyze inspection data captured by drones. For instance, it can automatically detect corrosion, cracks, or leaks in pipelines and storage tanks, providing real-time insights that help prevent costly failures. This automated approach minimizes human error and speeds up the inspection process, allowing for more frequent checks without increasing costs.
  3. Integration with Existing Systems: Optelos seamlessly integrates with enterprise management systems like ServiceNow, automating the entire inspection-to-repair process. For example, when an issue is detected during an inspection, the platform can automatically generate a trouble ticket, assign it to a maintenance team, and track the progress of the repair. This streamlined workflow reduces the mean time to repair by as much as 60%, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly.
  4. Drone-Based Data Capture: Drones play a vital role in oil and gas inspections, particularly for hard-to-reach or dangerous areas like offshore rigs and elevated structures. With Optelos, drones can be deployed to capture high-resolution images and video, which are then geotagged and stored securely on the platform. This data is immediately available for analysis, enabling rapid decision-making and reducing the need for costly shutdowns.

Benefits for AFPM Summit Attendees

For those attending the 2024 AFPM Summit, Optelos will be on hand in Hub Lounge 15 to demonstrate how our solution enhances asset inspection programs in the oil and gas industry. By leveraging the platform’s AI-powered analytics and drone data management capabilities, companies can significantly improve safety, reduce operational costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Furthermore, Optelos’ ability to integrate with existing workflows makes it easy to adopt, ensuring a smooth transition from traditional to automated inspections.
